        Include a section for promoted products in your emails to increase customer retention and boost the lifetime value (LTV) of your buyers.

        Bundling related or complementary products together is an effective way to draw repeat customers back to your store by exposing them to other items they may be interested in buying.

        In this article, you'll learn how to add promoted products to your review request emails.

        How it works

        The Promoted Products section can be easily added to your review request emails. Yotpo's algorithm will then choose products for you based on the following logic:

        • Related Products - Products that are commonly purchased together with this product. For example, if your customer purchased a jacket, Yotpo will suggest complementary products such as a scarf and gloves.
        • Top Rated - Products with the highest star rating and most votes
        • Top Selling - The most frequently purchased products in your store

        Each metric has an equal amount of influence. This means that if there isn’t enough data on one of the metrics, the selection is divided among the remaining metrics.

        Promoted Products will be displayed in the following emails:

        Requirements

        For Promoted Products to appear in the review request email, the following requirements must be met:

        • At least 3 products from your catalog have been purchased in the last 2 weeks
        • The relevant products must have an image. If there aren’t enough products with images, Promoted Products will not appear.
        • The relevant products must not be on your blocklist
        • The relevant products must have price information
        • The relevant products cannot belong to the same group

        Adding promoted products to emails

        To add Promoted Products to your review request emails:

        1. From your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Emails > Review Request Flow.
        2. Click Optimize your review requests.
        3. Toggle on Promoted Products.

        You can view your Promoted Products at the bottom of the email preview to the right.

        Customizing the block

        To customize the Promoted Products block that appears in your emails:

        1. From your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Emails > Review Request Flow.
        2. Hover over the email preview and click Customize email.
        3. Scroll down to the Promoted Products section and click on it.
        4. Edit the block to match your brand.
          Tip:

          We recommend adding a text block above the Promoted Products that will act as the title for the block to attract the user’s attention.

        5. Click Save & Close.

        Removing Promoted Products

        To remove the Promoted Products block from your emails:

        1. From your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Emails > Review Request Flow.
        2. Click Optimize your review requests.
        3. Toggle off Promoted Products.
