Add a View in browser link to your emails to make sure customers can easily view the content in their browser if it doesn't display properly in their inbox. This guarantees a consistent and smooth experience across all devices and platforms.

In this article, you’ll learn how to add a View in browser link to your emails.

    How it works

The View in browser link allows customers to open and view emails directly in a new browser tab. With a single click, the content will be displayed in a web-friendly format.

You can add the View in browser link to the header of your email in two ways:

    • Use the View in browser personalization tag to automatically insert the link. The default link text will be “View in browser” and cannot be changed.

    • Insert the View in browser URL manually which allows you to customize the link text, for example, “Open in your browser”. You can also add text in different languages.

    Before you start

To add the View in browser link to your email, first, insert a Text block in the email header, placing it above all other content.

    To add a Text block:

    1. In Yotpo SMS & Email, click Create campaign at the top of the page.

    2. Select Email and click Create campaign to set up your campaign. To learn more about email campaigns, see Creating an Email Marketing Campaign.

    3. In the Email preview, click Edit to open the email editor.

    4. From the Structures section, drag a header element to the top of your email.

    5. From the Blocks section, drag the Text block into the header element.

You can now customize the block as you like.

Adding the View in browser link as a personalization tag

Personalization tags add dynamic, personalized content to your messages, such as the customer’s name, the store’s address, or a discount code. To learn more about personalization tags, see Adding Dynamic Content with Personalization Tags.

To add the View in browser link to your email as a personalization tag:

    1. Click the Text block in the header where you’ll add the link.

    2. In the toolbar, click the Personalization tag icon to open the drop-down menu.

    3. Use the search bar or scroll down to the Preferences section and select View in browser.

The View in browser link is now added to your email. You can click Save and close to exit the editor, or click the Preview button and test how the link works.

    Please note:

When you add the View in browser link using a personalization tag, you cannot edit the link text. To change the text, add the link as a standard URL instead.

Adding the View in browser link as a URL

To add the View in browser link to your email as a URL:

    1. Click the Text block in the header where you’ll add the link.

    2. Highlight the text you want to turn into a link. Next, click the Insert link icon in the toolbar.

    3. In the Links section in the left sidebar, click the drop-down menu and select View in browser URL.

    4. In the Title field, change the link text if necessary.

The View in browser link is now added to your email. You can click Save and close to exit the editor, or click the Preview button and test how the link works.
