Adding Yotpo Reviews Widgets to Adobe Commerce

Yotpo Reviews new on-site widgets let you create and modify on-brand widgets with an intuitive, easy-to-use editor. Create captivating widgets with lightning-fast load times.

In this article, you’ll learn how to add the Reviews Widget and Star rating to your Adobe Commerce store.

Before you start

If you already have Yotpo installed and set up, make sure your Yotpo extension is updated to the latest version. To learn how to update your extension, click here.

If you’re new to Yotpo, you’ll first need to install the extension. To do so, go to Adobe Commerce 2: Installing Yotpo Reviews Extension 4.0.0+ article.

Adding the widgets

The widgets can be added automatically by using the Yotpo extension, or manually by pasting the widget codes in the relevant locations.

Setting up the widgets through the extension

1. From your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to On-Site Widgets.
2. Click the widget you want to add on-site: Reviews Widget 3.0, Star Rating 3.0, or Q&A 3.0.
3. Adjust and customize the widget to match your brand’s tone and voice.
4. Click Save changes in the top right corner of the screen.
5. In another tab, log into your Adobe Commerce 2 account.
6. Click Stores > Configuration.
7. From the Store View dropdown, select the relevant store view.
8. From the menu on the left, select Yotpo.
9. Click Yotpo Configuration.
10. Expand the Reviews Widgets menu and select “Yes” for the Enable V3 Widgets field. Choose which Yotpo widgets you'd like to appear on your storefront.
11. Click the Sync Widgets V3 instances button. This will migrate all the relevant user-generated content from the old widget version to the new one.

Manually adding the widgets

1. From your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to On-Site Widgets.
2. Click the widget you want to add on-site: Reviews Widget 3.0, Star Rating 3.0, or Q&A 3.0.
3. Adjust and customize the widget to match your brand’s tone and voice.
4. Click Publish in the top right corner of the screen and follow the publishing process.
