This information is then inserted into your Yotpo product catalog and is used for features such as [Google Shopping](/v1/docs/google-shopping-syndication) and [Syndication](/v1/docs/about-syndication). The specs required for these features are: - UPC - MPN + Brand - ISBN ## Adding specs to your products Only the SKU attribute appears in Adobe Commerce by default:![](https://cdn.document360.io/f3c2ab59-fe4c-4f93-9614-2872f40e8aa7/Images/Documentation/c6ef3822-59ef-405b-8734-d191ae3b7e1e.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T09%3A15%3A06Z&se=2026-11-03T10%3A15%3A06Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fc%2FpvK8PWlxeLTkDG3Qolv%2BPMwIjzzoXT9jIdpUgqa0%3D)UPC, MPN + Brand, and ISBN attributes must be **manually added** by using Adobe Commerce's [Attributes feature](https://docs.magento.com/m1/ce/user_guide/catalog/attributes.html). #### To manually add the product specifications: 1. Click on a product. 4. The same **attribute label** may exist across different attributes, but the **attribute code** is unique per attribute:![](https://cdn.document360.io/f3c2ab59-fe4c-4f93-9614-2872f40e8aa7/Images/Documentation/de7f7a52-a508-4f3d-b93d-b228ab901494.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T09%3A15%3A06Z&se=2026-11-03T10%3A15%3A06Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fc%2FpvK8PWlxeLTkDG3Qolv%2BPMwIjzzoXT9jIdpUgqa0%3D) 5. Click the **Create New Attribute** button:![](https://cdn.document360.io/f3c2ab59-fe4c-4f93-9614-2872f40e8aa7/Images/Documentation/585b95a1-2e77-4148-8927-a5e79481f921.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T09%3A15%3A06Z&se=2026-11-03T10%3A15%3A06Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fc%2FpvK8PWlxeLTkDG3Qolv%2BPMwIjzzoXT9jIdpUgqa0%3D) 6. Give the **Attribute Code** the correct name so that the Yotpo Plugin can recognize it: UPC = upc ISBN = isbn MPN = mpn Brand = brandShellShell ```shell 'specs' => array_filter( [ 'external_sku' => $product->getSku(), 'upc' => $product->getUpc(), 'isbn' => $product->getIsbn(), 'mpn' => $product->getMpn(), 'brand' => $product->getBrand(), ``` ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f3c2ab59-fe4c-4f93-9614-2872f40e8aa7/Images/Documentation/4f17a8ef-9502-4976-95d6-7c79ceea11d1.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T09%3A15%3A06Z&se=2026-11-03T10%3A15%3A06Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fc%2FpvK8PWlxeLTkDG3Qolv%2BPMwIjzzoXT9jIdpUgqa0%3D) 7. Finally, go back to the relevant product and scroll down to the **Attributes** section. You can now fill in the specification code:![](https://cdn.document360.io/f3c2ab59-fe4c-4f93-9614-2872f40e8aa7/Images/Documentation/6f06e790-dfa9-4fe5-8f4a-072e99e08d16.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T09%3A15%3A06Z&se=2026-11-03T10%3A15%3A06Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fc%2FpvK8PWlxeLTkDG3Qolv%2BPMwIjzzoXT9jIdpUgqa0%3D)Once the attributes are created, they get **automatically pulled** into the product catalog with each order sent to Yotpo. **Please note:**If a product isn't ordered, we will not have it’s attributes automatically in the product catalog. ## Changing existing attribute codes If you've set the attribute codes in a different way, we can still pull them by using **one** of the following steps: ### 1. Re-create the attribute Re-create the attribute and have it appear twice in Adobe Commerce:![](https://cdn.document360.io/f3c2ab59-fe4c-4f93-9614-2872f40e8aa7/Images/Documentation/64237e28-780f-473e-ae65-cc2b173e3cc5.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T09%3A15%3A06Z&se=2026-11-03T10%3A15%3A06Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fc%2FpvK8PWlxeLTkDG3Qolv%2BPMwIjzzoXT9jIdpUgqa0%3D)Yotpo will only pull the attribute with the **correct attribute code**: ```shell 'specs' => array_filter( [ 'external_sku' => $product->getSku(), 'upc' => $product->getUpc(), 'isbn' => $product->getIsbn(), 'mpn' => $product->getMpn(), 'brand' => $product->getBrand(), ``` ### 2. Change the attribute code name in the plugin Go to the **relevant file** (see below) in the Yotpo Plugin and change the name of the attribute code in accordance with how they are set up in Adobe Commerce. #### Relevant file names according to your Yotpo Version **Yotpo 2.7.5 and up:** */vendor/yotpo/module-review/Helper/ApiClient.php* Under the function named: *prepareProductsDataChange* what we pull in this location: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f3c2ab59-fe4c-4f93-9614-2872f40e8aa7/Images/Documentation/hfgj19-lbbpggsqrndv3lt5rvimrv_sbuownqig4dvl3obazmnplodrplctu6yep9jlzc9pyoabjso70mpnzfgtejaezrpvonp4xmk6sfyfz5wtehw2tuvrkxnjuwknz5p3822ij.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T09%3A15%3A06Z&se=2026-11-03T10%3A15%3A06Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fc%2FpvK8PWlxeLTkDG3Qolv%2BPMwIjzzoXT9jIdpUgqa0%3D) **Yotpo 2.7.4 and below:** Under the function named:*prepareProductsDataChange* what we pull in this location: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f3c2ab59-fe4c-4f93-9614-2872f40e8aa7/Images/Documentation/hfgj19-lbbpggsqrndv3lt5rvimrv_sbuownqig4dvl3obazmnplodrplctu6yep9jlzc9pyoabjso70mpnzfgtejaezrpvonp4xmk6sfyfz5wtehw2tuvrkxnjuwknz5p3822ij.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T09%3A15%3A06Z&se=2026-11-03T10%3A15%3A06Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fc%2FpvK8PWlxeLTkDG3Qolv%2BPMwIjzzoXT9jIdpUgqa0%3D) ### 3. Consult a developer The attribute code can be changed on Adobe Commerce's side, however, it requires the help of a developer.
