With this integration, you will be able to:

        • Reclaim Checkout Abandonment shoppers from Buy with Prime
        • Segment customers using Buy with Prime and drive more sales

        Before you start

You will need an Alloy Automation account to connect your Buy with Prime account to your Yotpo SMS & Email account.

Integrating Buy with Prime and Yotpo SMS & Email

To integrate Yotpo with Buy with Prime:

        1. In your Buy with Prime merchant console, go to the Yotpo for Buy with Prime app detail page on the Buy with Prime marketplace, and click Add App.
        2. Review the authorization request and click Authorize. You’ll be prompted to log in with your Alloy Automation account and connect with your Yotpo SMS & Email account.
        3. You’ll be prompted to log in with your Alloy Automation account and connect with your Yotpo SMS & Email account.

        4. Once you’ve linked your Yotpo account with Buy with Prime, through Alloy Automation, you'll be prompted to set the delay for your checkout abandonment automation. This controls how long before a checkout would be considered abandoned.

Once the process is confirmed, Alloy Automation will start passing your Buy with Prime order and checkout data to Yotpo.

Now you can go ahead and set up your SMS and email shopper flows.

        Setting up flows

        To set up your flows:

        1. In your Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, go to Flows > My Flows.
        2. Click Create flow from scratch.
        3. Select the Buy with Prime Checkout Abandonment flow trigger.

        Please note:
Don't set a delay within the flow, as it will be set when you configure the integration in step 4 of the installation set-up.

        4. Choose SMS/MMS or Email Message as an action when the previous conditions are met.

        Important:
Currently, Buy with Prime order information does not include shopper phone numbers. However, if your shoppers have already shared phone numbers with you to receive SMS messages, you can leverage Yotpo to send out SMS. In this case, shoppers are identified by their email addresses.

        Setting up an email

        To set up your email:

        1. Add an email subject and click Edit design.
        2. Design the email template to fit your brand.
        3. Add the Dynamic products block. This will be populated with the abandoned checkout products for each customer.

        5. Add text and insert a personalization tag containing the checkout URL.

        5. Go back to the flow and save your changes.

        Setting up an SMS message

You will see a default message suggestion, like in the example below:

You can edit the existing text message to include any additional shortcodes, such as product price, product URL, etc.

Make sure to save your changes.

        Please note:

Smart Sending should be enabled by default in Yotpo SMS. However, if you want to exclude transactional messages, you will need to manually do this by going to Settings > General Settings > General > Smart sending.

Segmenting customers using Buy with Prime

        To create customer segments:

        2. Click Create list or segment.
        3. When selecting the filter, go to Customer attributes > Custom attributes.
        4. Within the custom attributes, select “checkout_source” as equal to “Buy with Prime”.

Now your integration is all set up.

        Please note:
Smart Sending should be enabled by default in Yotpo SMS. However, if you want to exclude transactional messages, you will need to manually do this by going to Settings > General Settings > General > Smart sending.

        FAQ

Do I need to sign up for a new account or can I use my existing Yotpo account?

You can use your existing relationship with Yotpo, Alloy Automation, and Buy with Prime. You don’t need to sign up for an additional new account for the purpose of this integration.

What shopper information does Buy with Prime share with Yotpo?

However, if your shoppers have already shared phone numbers with you to receive SMS messages, you can leverage Yotpo to send out SMS messages. In this case, shoppers are identified by their email addresses.

What happens if I set a delay in the workflow, in addition to the initial setup?

You can update the delay by clicking Go to Alloy from the Buy with Prime marketplace listing page.

Do I need to add a condition in my Yotpo flow to check if a purchase has been completed since the flow started?

No. This is being monitored in Alloy Automation during the delay period set by you.
