Customizing Links in Yotpo's Email Editor

Improve your customers' experience by personalizing links in your email messages. With Yotpo's email editor, you can effortlessly add one or more personalization tags to URLs, guiding customers to pages tailored to their unique needs, such as order details, profile pages, or shipping information.
In this article, you'll learn how to customize links in Yotpo Email.
Link Customization Overview
In the Yotpo email editor, you can add personalization tags to URL paths in single email campaigns, multi-message campaigns, flows, and email templates. Personalization tags are predefined bits of code that carry dynamic data. When your campaign is sent, these tags are replaced with real data.
You can customize links within the body of your message when:
Linking text to a specific page
Adding a link to a button
Adding a link to an image
Tip
Depending on the personalization tags you add, and if your store supports seamless login, customers can be taken directly to their account without entering their login credentials. To learn more, see Activating Seamless Login.
Adding Personalization Tags to Links
To customize the links in your emails, open the email editor.
Email campaigns
On the Yotpo Email home page, click Create campaign in the header.
Select Email and click Create campaign.
In the Email preview header, click Edit.
Multi-message campaigns
On the Yotpo SMS & Email home page, click Create campaign in the header.
Select Multi-message and click Create campaign.
After you add an email to the campaign’s steps, in the Email preview header, click Edit.
Email templates
In your Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, go to Campaigns > Email Templates > Featured templates tab.
Select the template you want to customize, hover over it, and click Template actions > Add to My templates.
In the My templates tab, hover over the template, and click Template actions > Edit.
Flows
In your Yotpo Email main menu, go to Flows > My Flows and click Create flow.
After you add an email to the flow’s structure, in the Email design section, click Edit design.
After opening the editor, find the block containing the link you want to customize and click it:
In the left sidebar, go to the Link field and type or paste the link’s URL.
To add a personalization tag to the URL, click the personalization tag icon and select the appropriate tag. For maximum flexibility, you can add multiple tags to the URL.
Note
If you haven't set fallback text for the tag you’ve selected, the fallback text modal will appear. To learn more about personalization tags, see Adding Dynamic Content with Personalization Tags.
Tip
The list of personalization tags is organized into categories such as Customer, Store, Discount, Loyalty, etc. Tags vary depending on the apps and integrations you have. Additionally, if you’re editing emails in a flow, you’ll see an extra Event category, which corresponds to the flow trigger you're using.
