Activating Keywords Subscriptions empowers you to engage with your audience more effectively by enabling automatic subscriber collection when customers text specific keywords. This feature allows you to:

Keyword Subscription Overview

The Keyword Subscription feature lets you capture subscribers effortlessly when customers text specific keywords to your number. This dynamic tool simplifies the signup process and creates a direct pathway for customer engagement.

You can fully customize your keywords to align with your brand’s messaging. Customers who text these keywords instantly join your subscription list, ensuring you stay connected with them. This functionality works seamlessly with your existing SMS marketing strategy, making it easy to engage, grow, and manage your audience without unnecessary complexity.

With Keyword Subscription, you gain the power to turn every interaction into an opportunity to expand your reach and strengthen customer relationships.

Adding a New Keyword

Important

You have one free keyword when you are on the Yotpo SMS & Email Free plan.

• Every additional keyword costs 10$ monthly. All your paid keywords become free when you upgrade to any subscription plan.

• If you downgrade to Free, the first keyword from your list will remain free. Other keywords become $10 per keyword.

1. Navigate to the Keywords Tool

   • In your Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, go to Audience > Subscriber Collection Tools.

2. Access the Keyword Setup

   • Find the Keyword card and click Set it up. A pop-up will appear with an overview of the tool. Select Set up Keyword to get started.

3. Name Your Keyword

   • Choose a memorable name for your keyword that aligns with your campaign. Ensure the name is 3-20 characters long and doesn’t include special characters or spaces.

4. Assign a Subscriber List

   • Select the subscriber list where new contacts will be added.

5. Test Your Keyword

   • Use the provided phone number to test your keyword and confirm it works as intended.

6. Set Up the Welcome Message

   • Click Set up message to craft the welcome text customers receive after subscribing. Add a warm greeting and consider including a small discount as a thank-you gesture. To deactivate the welcome message, simply flip the toggle in the top-right corner of the message editor.

7. Activate Your Keyword

   • Once everything is ready, click Activate Keyword

Important

If the keyword you want to use is already in use by another store, you will be notified.

Visual Walkthrough

Your keyword is now live! Share it across your email campaigns, social media, or banners to grow your subscriber base. Monitor its performance by clicking the chart icon in the Subscriber Collection Tools dashboard under Analytics.
