    Yotpo Loyalty Conditions Overview

    Winning customer loyalty is one of the best ways to raise brand awareness, drive repeat sales and really stand out from the competition. SMS has become the ideal channel to achieve all that with its unmatched speed and convenience. In fact, 70% of consumers say they prefer to use their phones to engage with brands’ loyalty programs over other marketing channels.

    Integrating Yotpo SMS & Email with your Loyalty program will enable you to target customers with hyper-personalized messages at just the right moment, giving you access to over 14+ data points you can use to segment audiences to the finest detail. Use them to promote your Loyalty program to SMS subscribers, send point balance reminders, share special offers, and more.

    This article will walk you through the Loyalty segmentation filters and shortcodes in Yotpo SMS & Email, and how to add them to your messages. It will help you segment your SMS subscribers into specific categories you can target individually and open the door for many new engagement opportunities.

    Getting Started

    In your Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, go to Audience > Lists & Segments.

    1. Click Create audience.

    2. In the popup, select Build manually and click Create audience.

    Creating a Yotpo Loyalty Segment

    In the segment builder, you build your segments using many different conditions. Follow the steps below to locate and use the Yotpo Loyalty conditions:

    1. From the dropdown menu, select the Yotpo Loyalty category to view the conditions.

    2. Choose a condition and specify the definition for your segment. For example, to select only your customers who have joined your loyalty program, select the Loyalty program member condition and specify the definition as is true.

    3. When you’ve selected and specified all of the conditions you want, click the pencil icon at the top of the builder to rename the segment.

    4. Click Save segment.

    You can now view your new segment in Segments & Lists.

    Edit a Segment

    You can change the conditions you defined for your segment or a predefined segment at any time. Upon changing the conditions, your segment will be dynamically updated right away. To edit a segment, do the following:

    1. Next to the relevant segment, click Edit segment conditions.

    2. Update the conditions.

    3. When you’re done, click Save segment.

    Viewing Your Segment’s Subscribers

    To view all of the subscribers currently included in a segment, just click the View customers button next to the relevant segment. You’ll see a list of all email subscribers who are currently included in this segment.

    The table below contains a list of all of the available Yotpo Loyalty conditions.

    Whether or not a customer has joined the loyalty program

    Membership start date

    Whether or not a customer has opted in to the loyalty program within in specified time frame

    Last engagement date

    Whether or not a customer has engaged with the loyalty program within a specified timeframe

    Current VIP tier

    Whether or not a customer is currently in a specified VIP tier

    Entered current VIP tier

    Whether or not a customer entered their current VIP tier with a specified timeframe

    VIP tier expiration date

    Whether or not a customer’s tier expiration date falls in a specified timeframe

    Points earned

    Whether or not a customer has earned a specified amount of points

    Points balance

    Whether or not a customer has a specified amount of points

    Points expiration date

    Whether or not a customer’s points will expire in a specified timeframe

    Points redeemed

    Whether or not a customer has redeemed a specified amount of points

    Redemptions made

    Whether or not a customer has made a specified amount of redemptions

    Last redeemed date

    Whether or not a customer has made a redemption in a specified timeframe

    Total successful referrals

    Whether or not a customer has made a specified amount of referrals

    Customer was referred by someone else

    Whether or not a customer was referred by someone else

    Now target your new segment with a marketing campaign.

    Yotpo Loyalty Personalization Tags

    Once a segment is created, start sending hyper-targeted messages using the Yotpo Loyalty personalization tags that can be added to your SMS campaigns, flows, or automations. Simply choose the desired Loyalty segment as your target audience, and you’ll have access to the loyalty personalization tags.

    Note

    The Yotpo Loyalty personalization tags are not available segments that are not Loyalty segments.

    You’ll find the following personalization tags based on the data points selected in the segment:

    Loyalty Personalization Tag

    Definition

    Points Balance

    The customer's current point balance.

    Credit Balance

    The customer's current credit balance.

    VIP Tier Name

    The customer's current VIP tier.

    Points Expiration Date

    The date on which the customer’s loyalty points will expire.

    VIP Tier Expiration Date

    The date or period when the customer's current VIP tier will expire.

    Last Redemption Date

    The date the customer's last redeemed loyalty points.

    Important

    Remember that you’ll gain access to specific personalization tags based on the segment rules you have previously added.

    When crafting your text message, click on the button for more personalization tags, scroll to the Yotpo Codes you wish to add, click on them, and continue sending your campaign.
