    The synergy between Yotpo products allows users to easily segment customer using data points from Yotpo Reviews directly into SMS & Email. This will enable brands to engage their audience based on key data like average reviews sentiment and average star rating. By the end of this article, you will know how to create a Reviews segment in Yotpo SMS & Email, and how to leverage segmentation filters and personalization tags to optimize your marketing campaigns.

    Synergy Segmentation Overview

    Yotpo SMS & Email’s synergetic segmentation feature allows you to create targeted segments based on your Yotpo Reviews data points. This includes filtering customer by review submission status, number of reviews, average review sentiment, average star rating, and number of uploaded media.

    Creating a Yotpo Reviews Segment

    1. In your Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, go to Audience > Lists & Segments.

    2. Click Create Audience.

    3. From the Type popup, select Build manually, and click Create audience.

    4. A drop down menu will appear, showing all available data points for segmentation; select Yotpo Reviews.

    Configuring Your Segment

    To refine your segment, select the filters you want to use from the Yotpo Reviews data points. You can add multiple filters to create highly specific customer segments.

    • Submitted a review:  Filter customers based on whether or not they have submitted any type of review in a selected time period.

    • Total reviews submitted:  Filter customers based on the number of reviews they have submitted.

    • Average reviews sentiment: Filter customers based on their average sentiment of reviews.

    • Average reviews star rating: Filter customers based on their average star rating of reviews.

    • Number of media uploads: Filter customers based on their amount of reviews with images or videos.

    • Reviews brand affection: Filters customers with specific brand affection, based on reviews sentiment and star rating.

    Yotpo Reviews Personalization Tags

    Once a segment is created, start sending hyper-targeted messages using the Yotpo Reviews personalization tags that can be added to your SMS campaigns, and flows. Simply choose the desired Reviews segment as your target audience, and you’ll have access to the Reviews personalization tags.

    You’ll find the following personalization tags based on the data points selected in the segment:

    • Last Star Rating: The customer’s last star rating.

    • Last Review Date: The customer’s last review date.

    • Average Star Rating: The customer’s average star rating.

    When crafting your text message, click on the button for more personalization tags, scroll to the Yotpo Codes you wish to add, click on them, and continue sending your campaign.
