With Marketing Inspiration, Yotpo SMS & Email offers a unique opportunity to explore campaigns and flows from hundreds of brands, all in one place, providing insights to refine your marketing strategy. Analyze messaging techniques or go deeper and discover effective layouts and engaging subject lines. It’s an ideal starting point for researching various use cases and drawing inspiration before crafting content and launching campaigns.

In this article, you’ll learn how to use Marketing Inspiration.

    Marketing Inspiration Overview

Marketing Inspiration functions as a gallery where you can filter data to find the brands, topics, and messages that match your interests. Each thumbnail shows an actual message sent to customers. If you find something that aligns with your goals, you can add it to your collection for easy reference.

    Important

You should not replicate another company’s campaign. Copying campaigns may infringe on intellectual property or trademark rights and carry legal ramifications. For suggestions on best practices, please see our blog post.

    Getting Started with Marketing Inspiration

To start exploring, in the Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, scroll to Marketing Inspiration and click it. It will load the latest messages, both SMS and email, from the brands we monitor.

To narrow your results, follow the steps:

    1. In the search bar, type any keywords and press Enter.

    2. From the tabs, choose whether to display campaigns, flows, or both. If you select flows, you can further filter by flow categories. For example, welcome flow, price drop flow, etc.

    3. Use the date filter to focus on specific periods, such as Valentine’s Day or Black Friday. By default, the gallery shows messages from the last 30 days.

    4. Click the Filters button to refine your search further. You can filter by the following categories:

      • Channel: SMS or email messages

      • Discount: Discount type and amount

      • Brand: Company name

      • Messaging style: The way communication is structured and delivered, focusing on content and purpose

      • Tone of voice: The personality and mood of the message, such as warm, friendly, etc.

      • Industry: The market sector the company operates in, such as, cosmetics, apparel, furniture, etc.

      • Notification type: Type of message, for example, marketing or transactional

      • Subtype: Specific message category, such as browse abandonment or newsletter

    5. Click Apply and browse the results.

    Exploring Messages

Each thumbnail in the gallery displays a message from either a campaign or a flow. At the bottom of each message, you'll find a tag indicating which campaign or flow the message was part of, such as "Seasons/Holiday Campaign" or "Cart Abandonment Flow". Beneath the tag, you'll see the brand's logo, name, and website. Clicking on the brand's name or logo opens a new window where you can view all the messages sent by that brand.

To add a message to your collection, hover over the thumbnail and click the heart icon in the bottom-right corner. To view all your saved messages, click My collection in the top-right corner of the page.

To find out more details about a message:

    1. Hover over the message thumbnail and click it.

    2. In the preview popup, scroll to view the message content.

    3. Click View on timeline to open the timeline view.

    4. Use the filter in the top-left corner to sort messages by campaign or flow type.

    5. Review the timeline to find:

      • Sent date and time

      • Message sequence number

      • Time elapsed between messages

    Note

For flow messages, clicking a thumbnail opens the timeline view directly.
