HubSpot - Integration Guide for Reviews

Yotpo's Hubspot integration empowers merchants with insightful shopper data such as the total number of reviews written and their average star rating, allowing for better segmentation and improved campaign performance. Customers properties of customers who submitted a site review through the Yotpo-HubSpot integration will be synced across Yotpo and Hubspot. This means you will be able to view the properties of the associated Yotpo reviews for a specific contact in Hubspot.
Integrating Yotpo with HubSpot
Sync Yotpo review requests with your HubSpot Workflows to automatically collect site reviews and valuable reviewer data for improved segmentation.
- Site reviews generated through Hubspot are registered in Yotpo as anonymous reviewers.
- Site reviews generated through Hubspot will not be sent to Google.
- In your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Integrations.
- Choose the HubSpot card and follow the connection process.
Using Site Review after Service with HubSpot
When you synchronize the Site Review after Service from your Yotpo Account, it is located under:
Content > Design Manager > Coded Files > Custom > Yotpo
Making the Yotpo Template Available in HubSpot
To register the email template:
- Log in to your HubSpot Admin
- Click Content
- Select Design Manager
- Click Coded Files
- Click Custom
- Click Email
- Click Yotpo
- Click target_review_request.html
- Click File
- Click Publish Changes
- Click Update to confirm the change.
Using the Template as an Email
In order to convert the Yotpo Site Review After Service into a HubSpot email:
- Log in to your HubSpot Admin
- Click Content
- Click Email
- Click Create a New Email
- Click target_review_request.html
- Enter the name for the email in the Email name field.
- Click Create
- Customize the email according to your requirements.
Using the Site Review After Service in Workflows
- Log in to your HubSpot Admin
- Click Contacts
- Click Workflows
- Configure the workflow according to your requirements.
- Incorporate the Site Review After Service as part of your workflow to be deployed based on your workflow segmentation and rules.
The Yotpo Property Group
When customers submit a site review through HubSpot, their customer properties are synced across Yotpo and Hubspot. You can view the properties of the associated Yotpo reviews for a specific contact.
When a reviewer submits a site review via the Yotpo-Hubspot integration, the properties are added to the contact information in HubSpot as properties.
To view the Yotpo properties:
- Log in to your HubSpot Admin
- Click Contacts
- Click Contacts Home
- Select the contact in the list by clicking on the contact name
- Click Properties on the left of the screen
- Click Yotpo
- The following Yotpo properties are displayed:

Customization
Customizing the Site Review After Service in your Yotpo Account
You can customize the email content using the HubSpot Integration page in your Yotpo Account:
- Log into Yotpo Reviews.
- Click Integrations and then HubSpot.
Changing the Email Subject
This affects the subject of the email.
To change the email subject:
- Type the subject you want to appear in the Subject:field.
- The preview is update
- Click Sync With HubSpot
Changing the Email Body
This affects the introductory text that appears in the email.
To change the email body:
- Type the subject you want to appear in the Body field
- The preview is updated
- Click Sync With HubSpot
Email Variables
You can use the following variables in the email. They are replaced with the appropriate values when the email is sent:

{user} | The name of the reviewer, as they entered it. |
Changing the Email Signature
This affects the closing text that appears in the email.
To change the email signature:
- Type the subject you want to appear in the Signature field
The preview is updated - Click Save Changes
Sending A Test Email
You can send a test copy of the Site Review after Service to see how it appears in customers' email clients:
- Click Send Test
- The default email is the one associated with the account. To send the test email to a different address, enter it in the email field.
- Click Send
- The email is sent to the address you provided.
Editing Yotpo Site Review After Service Template in HubSpot
To edit the Yotpo Site Review After Service template:
- Log in to your HubSpot Admin
- Click Content
- Click Design Manager
- Click Coded Files
- Click Custom
- Click Yotpo
- Click target_review_request.html
- Click File
- Click target_review_request.html
- Click File
- Edit the HTML according to your requirements
- Click Publish Changes
Customizing Yotpo Properties in Contacts
You can edit the Yotpo properties that appear for contacts.
To edit the Yotpo Properties:
- Log in to your HubSpot Admin
- Click Contacts
- Click Contacts Home
- Click Contact Properties
- Select Yotpo in the Property groups drop-down list
- Edit the properties
Disconnecting HubSpot
When you disconnect HubSpot, your data will no longer be synced with HubSpot, and all integration settings will be permanently deleted.
To disconnect HubSpot:
- Log into Yotpo Reviews.
- Click Integrations > HubSpot.
- Click Disconnect, and Disconnect again to confirm.
