Yotpo's Hubspot integration enables merchants to sync review activity and shopper data into HubSpot. This allows you to segment your audience, trigger HubSpot workflows based on review events, and view review-related properties within HubSpot contacts.

In this article you will learn how to connect Yotpo to HubSpot, sync site review email templates, use the review request flow in HubSpot, and view Yotpo review properties in HubSpot contact profiles.

Integrating Overview

The HubSpot integration syncs customer properties for reviewers who submit a site review through the Yotpo-HubSpot connection. Merchants can automatically collect site reviews and access key data points inside HubSpot, such as:

  • Number of reviews written.

  • Average star rating.

  • Latest review details.

This enables improved segmentation and campaign performance based on real customer feedback.

Note

  • Site reviews generated through Hubspot are registered in Yotpo as anonymous reviewers.

  • Site reviews generated through Hubspot will not be sent to Google.

Getting Started

Integrating Yotpo with HubSpot

  1. In your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Integrations.

  2. Choose the HubSpot card and follow the connection process.

Using Site Review after Service with HubSpot

When you synchronize the Site Review after Service from your Yotpo Account, it is located under:

Content  >  Design Manager  >  Coded Files  >  Custom  >  Yotpo

Making the Yotpo Template Available in HubSpot

To register the email template:

  1. Log in to your HubSpot admin.

  2. Go to Content > Design Manager > Coded Files > Custom > Email > Yotpo.

  3. Select target_review_request.html

  4. Click File > Publish Changes.

  5. Confirm by clicking Update.

Using the Template as an Email

In order to convert the Yotpo Site Review After Service into a HubSpot email:

  1. Log in to HubSpot.

  2. Go to Content > Email > Create a New Email.

  3. Select target_review_request.html

  4. Name your email.

  5. Click Create.

  6. Customize the email content as needed.

Using the Site Review After Service in Workflows

  1. Log in to HubSpot.

  2. Go to Contacts > Workflows.

  3. Configure your workflow.

  4. Add the Site Review After Service email to the workflow rules.

The Yotpo Property Group

When customers submit a site review through the integration, their review properties sync to the HubSpot contact record.

To view Yotpo properties:

  1. Log in to HubSpot

  2. Go to Contacts > Contacts Home

  3. Select a contact

  4. Click Properties

  5. Click Yotpo

The following Yotpo properties are displayed:

Customization

Customizing the Site Review After Service in your Yotpo Account

You can customize the email content using the HubSpot Integration page in your Yotpo Account:

  1. Log into Yotpo Reviews.

  2. Click Integrations and then HubSpot.

Changing the Email Subject

This affects the subject of the email. 

To change the email subject:

  1. Type the subject you want to appear in the Subject:field.

    • The preview is update

  2. Click Sync With HubSpot

Changing the Email Body

This affects the introductory text that appears in the email.

To change the email body:

  1. Type the subject you want to appear in the Body field

    • The preview is updated

  2. Click Sync With HubSpot

Email Variables

You can use the following variables in the email. They are replaced with the appropriate values when the email is sent:

{company_name}

Your company's name as defined in your Store Settings.

{user}

The name of the reviewer, as they entered it.

Changing the Email Signature

This affects the closing text that appears in the email.

To change the email signature:

  1. Type the subject you want to appear in the Signature field
    The preview is updated

  2. Click Save Changes

Editing Yotpo Site Review After Service Template in HubSpot

To edit the Yotpo Site Review After Service template:

  1. Log in to HubSpot.

  2. Go to Content > Design Manager > Coded Files > Custom > Yotpo.

  3. Select target_review_request.html

  4. Edit the HTML as needed.

  5. Click Publish Changes.

Please note:

Customized email templates inside HubSpot are not synced back to your Yotpo account.

Customizing Yotpo Properties in Contacts

You can edit the Yotpo properties that appear for contacts.

To edit the Yotpo Properties:

  1. Log in to HubSpot.

  2. Go to Contacts > Contacts Home > Contact Properties.

  3. Select Yotpo in the Property Groups dropdown.

  4. Edit properties as needed.

Disconnecting HubSpot

When HubSpot is disconnected, syncing stops and settings are permanently deleted.

To disconnect HubSpot:

  1. Log into Yotpo Reviews.

  2. Click Integrations > HubSpot.

  3. Click Disconnect, and Disconnect again to confirm.
