Newsletters are an extremely valuable marketing tool that helps you maintain contact with your customers. It can be used to advertise flash sales and new products, and inspire inactive customers to re-visit your shop.
Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals' Newsletter Signup Program rewards customers for signing up to your newsletter and helps increase the effectiveness and signup scope of your newsletter.
Newsletter signup setup
Virtually all of Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals' Newsletter Signup tool can be customized in the Newsletter Signup section of your Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals account.
To customize the Newsletter Signup, do the following:
- Go to the Programs tab of you Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals account.
- Click on Newsletter Signup.
Change Reward
Here you can customize the campaign name that your shoppers will see, and choose which reward to give to those who sign up. Note you can only choose from rewards that you've already created.
To change the reward, do the following:
- If you haven't done so, go create the reward you want to offer.
- Click Change Reward.
- Enter the Campaign Name as you want it to appear in the Rewards History.
- Select the reward you want to give new subscribers (points or a coupon).
- Select which coupon the new subscriber will get.

Creating a new reward
To set up a new coupon, do the following:
- Go to the Rewards tab of your Loyalty & Referrals admin.
- Click on Redeeming Points.
- Click on the Create a New Coupon button.
- Choose the immediately after they complete a campaign (i.e instead of points) option so it will be available in the coupon dropdown menu when creating the Newsletter Signup campaign:
The discount coupon given for completing the Newsletter Signup campaign cannot be restricted to the customer who completed it due to e-comm platform limitations. If you would like to restrict the reward to the customer who completed the campaign, choose to reward your customer with points instead of a discount code.
Implementing a standalone newsletter program
Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals has a multitude of reward campaigns, but if you wish to keep things simple, you can always use the Newsletter Signup as a standalone program.
