The referred friend welcome popup is a way to greet incoming referred friends when they arrive on your site via a referral link. This is a basic feature that is used by every referral program.
If you're not sure where to start, read the Referral Popups overview article.

The "Referred Customer Welcome" popup is enabled by default and will appear for any customers who arrive at your site by clicking on a referral link. The popup will present customers with their coupon code or points (depending on your Yotpo Referrals settings).

    Customizing the Popup

In your Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals admin go toPrograms> Referral Program

    1. Select Referred Customer Welcome Popup from the dropdown menu.
    2. Click Customize popup.

      Settings

      Popup Enabled?

If your popup is enabled, it means that it is live on your site, and no deployment is required. If toggled off, this popup will be disabled and not displayed on your site.
    • Use the Width and Height bars to change the actual dimensions (in pixels) of the popup itself
    • Use the Upload Image button to put an image in the background
    • Click on the block of text you'd like to change, and a new editor menu will appear:
    Tip!
This welcome message can be updated for fonts and colors, but we recommend keeping the message relatively straightforward from a stylistic perspective; data suggests that elaborate imagery and design can actually be distracting and harm conversion.

    Customize Error Messages

If a referred friend clicks on a referral link and they are not eligible to get a coupon, one of these error messages will display instead.

    • Coupon Used Error
    • Not eligible error

Once you are finished setting up your popups, go over the checklist to take the next steps for a complete referral program setup.
