General
Q: Who can access Reviews Atlas?
A: Reviews Atlas is available to Premium and Enterprise plans. If you’re on an eligible plan, all users in your account can access the feature.
Q: Are there any prerequisites for using Reviews Atlas?
A: Yes. To use Reviews Atlas, you must be on an eligible plan and have products that have been purchased in the last 60 days.
Q: Will Reviews Atlas work for accounts with non-English reviews?
A: Yes, Reviews Atlas supports all languages. However, for non-English reviews, the Average number of topics per review metric is not included in the performance scoring.
Q: What if I sell niche products, and there isn’t enough data to benchmark my brand against competitors?
A: It depends on the type of benchmark:
For the "Compared to similar brands" benchmark, we only display data if there are enough similar competitors to compare against. If not, no benchmark will be shown.
For performance scores, we always provide a comparison group. We start by comparing similar products, then fall back to the industry level if needed, and finally to a global benchmark if there still isn’t enough data.

Q: How often is Reviews Atlas data updated?
A: Data is refreshed every 24 hours.
Q: How is my reviews performance score calculated?
A: Reviews performance scores are calculated at both the individual product level and the overall brand level.
Product scores are determined by five weighted components:
Quality
Authenticity
Recency
Number of reviews
Average star rating
Each product is compared to similar products from other Yotpo customers in the same industry. A product score between 0 and 100 is assigned for each category, and weighted calculations are applied to generate the overall product score.
Brand scores are generated by aggregating all individual product scores to generate a brand-level score per category. Products with higher sales volume have a greater impact on the final score. All five category scores are then aggregated, applying their respective weights, to generate an overall brand performance score using advanced data science methodologies. Q: Can I customize the weights for each component in the performance score calculation?
A: No, that’s currently not possible. The weights are determined based on Yotpo’s extensive expertise, backed by data from over 15,000 brands and 300 million reviews, to ensure data-driven insights.
Q: Are blocklisted products included?
A: Yes, blocklisted products are included in Reviews Atlas since their reviews are displayed and not hidden in the widgets. However, only active products that were sold in the last 60 days will be included in Reviews Atlas data, so non-relevant or outdated products will not impact the scores.
Q: Are Shop reviews included?
A: Yes, Shop reviews are currently included in Reviews Atlas for all accounts, even if the account is using widget 2.0 (where Shop reviews are not displayed) or if Shop reviews settings are turned off.
