    Setup Overview

    Below is the full list of steps you should complete to create the most comprehensive programs to engage and attract customers.

    1. Customizing the Rewards Sticky Bar

    The Rewards Sticky Bar is the first point of interaction between customers and your rewards program. Use it to invite customers to sign up for your rewards program, view their available points, and redeem them for rewards.

    2. Choosing your rewards program strategy

    When choosing how to set up your point rewards and deciding how much points are worth, it’s important to take your profit margins into account.

    We recommend choosing one of the following strategies:

    • Standard approach - you can choose to take the more traditional approach where customers need to spend $100 to receive a $5 discount, setting the margin at 5%. This means that you won’t risk your profit margins by handing out too many discounts, while still giving your customers great value for their points.
    • Competitive approach - this approach means you will cut a little deeper into your profit margins, however, you will make your brand more appealing to your customers. You can set your points to a 10% margin where customers who spend $50 will receive a $5 discount.

    3. Setting up your referrals program

    The Referrals Program leverages the connection between your existing customers and your brand to attract new ones through word-of-mouth. It works by letting customers offer their friends a reward to use on their first purchase in your store, and in turn, your customers receive their own reward for completing the referral.

    4. Setting up emails

    An important component of setting up successful rewards & referrals programs is to enable event-triggered emails that let your customers know where they stand in your program.

    5. Launching your programs

    You are now ready to add loyalty & referrals programs to your site and make them part of your customer’s journey.

    6. Importing existing loyalty stats

    If you’re migrating from a different loyalty platform, you can import your customers’ points into Yotpo and prevent disruptions to your customer's experience with their rewards program.

    7. Managing your customers

    The Customers section of Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals is where you can view and manage your customers. 

    As soon as an entity is made for a user on your platform's side, it is pulled into Yotpo and shown here. Customers can also be created directly in Loyalty & Referrals without existing in the platform in certain cases such as import.The customer management page can be categorized into three sections:

    1. Customer Overview
    2. History
    3. Available Customer Actions

    8. Viewing program analytics

    You can see how your customers engage with your programs and how well they are performing by going to the Analytics section of Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals.Below are the dashboard and reports available in the Analytics section. Click on the name of the dashboard to learn more about it
