    SSIR Overview

Starting January 31, 2023, the Singaporean Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) implemented the SMS Sender ID Registration. It requires companies using Business Sender IDs for mobile messages to register with the Singapore SMS Sender ID Registry (SSIR) to obtain a registered Sender ID.

What will happen if I don’t register with the SSIR?

Unregistered Sender IDs will be marked with a "Likely-SCAM" header. This will remain active for approximately 6 months. Merchants are strongly encouraged to register their Sender IDs with the SSIR at the earliest opportunity.

    Registering with the SSIR

    1. Go to the SMS Sender ID Registry Portal.

    2. Follow the steps in this guide.

    3. Contact your Customer Success Manager or the SMS & Email support team so we notify our aggregator of it for your registration to work properly.

Once the process is complete, you will be able to send messages to Singapore without being marked. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact our support team.
