Setting up referral flows and reward logic ## Practical Examples Here are a few ways to use the Yotpo + Novel integration to strengthen your loyalty program: ### Real-Time Loyalty Data in Mobile Passes Customers can see their current points balance and tier status directly in their wallet pass. - Novel syncs this information with Yotpo in near real time. - When a customer downloads a pass, a Shopify customer record is created (if one doesn’t exist already). - Tiers are mapped with Shopify tags, so the correct status always appears on the pass. ### Points for Wallet Pass Downloads Encourage adoption by awarding points when a customer downloads their wallet pass. - Configured as a custom event in Novel. - Once the pass is installed, the action is logged in the customer’s Yotpo profile. - Novel uses fraud prevention to limit customers from repeatedly claiming “welcome” points. ### Tier-Upgrade Rewards Boost engagement by rewarding customers when they upgrade to a new tier after installing the pass. - Yotpo automatically updates Shopify tags when a customer moves to a new tier. - Novel detects the tag change and triggers a one-time points reward. - The reward syncs back to Yotpo and is fully trackable.
