Yotpo’s integration with Beautytap enables you to collect Verified Beauty Expert ratings and reviews using the Beautytap platform and then automatically syndicate these reviews to your Yotpo account and other online retailers.
Benefits
This integration allows beauty brands to seamlessly syndicate Beauty Expert Review content in a one-stop-shop, turn-key digital solution with the differentiators of education & expert reviews versus consumer reviews. By creating a seamless flow of review data from the point of collection (Beautytap) to publication (Yotpo), this integration saves time, money, and effort, ensuring that your review content gets to work all of the places you want it to be, Google, your site, and your retail partner sites with minimal manual intervention from the brand.
Integrating Yotpo and Beautytap
In order to connect Yotpo to your Beautytap account, you’ll need to do the following:
- Provide your Beautytap Digital Liaison with your Yotpo app key and API secret, so that they can set up the integration on your behalf. If you’re not sure how to find them, see Finding your Yotpo App Key and API Secret.
- Contact Yotpo supportor your dedicated client success manager and ask them to enable the following two backend features for you:
- Trusted Vendor
- Orders Metadata
Once these two features are enabled, let your Beautytap Account Manager know that everything is ready on the Yotpo side to start sending Yotpo reviews.
Want to display a disclaimer?
To display a disclaimer within the Yotpo Reviews Widget (on your product pages on-site) that indicates that the reviews by Beautytap were generated as part of a seeding program, please provide the relevant disclaimer language to Beautytap, and ask for the order metadata field name that the disclaimer is sent in. You will need to pass this field name to a Yotpo representative and ask them to expose this field for you in the Yotpo backend.
This must be completed by Yotpo & Beautytap at least 7 days prior to campaign start to ensure there is enough time to enable the connection properly. If this is not confirmed, reviews will not be sent to Yotpo for syndication.
