Collecting Reviews via SMS

In this article, you’ll learn how to connect Yotpo Reviews with Yotpo SMS & Email so you can start collecting reviews via SMS.

Step 1: Connect Yotpo SMS & Email to Shopify

Follow these instructions if you do not already have a Yotpo SMS & Email account. If you do have one, skip to the section for existing SMS & Email customers.

1. In your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Emails > Email Setup.
   
2. Under Review request email, click Edit.
3. Under the Collect reviews via SMS section, click Get Started.
4. Click the Shopify App Store link to add the Yotpo SMS & Email app to your Shopify store.
5. When you’re done, click I’ve installed Yotpo SMS & Email. You’ll be returned to the Automatic Review Requests screen. From here, you can now start setting up your Yotpo SMS & Email account.

Step 2: Set up your Yotpo SMS & Email account

1. Set up SMS marketing for compliance with TCPA/CTIA and customize your subscription checkout box to allow shoppers to opt-in to receive text marketing. Learn how
2. To send out text messages, you'll need to first generate an SMS subscriber list. Yotpo SMS & Email offers a number of Growth Tools you can use to help build your list of SMS subscribers. We recommend starting with a subscription checkout box, subscription form, and converting email subscribers.
3. In your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Emails > Email Setup.
   
4. Under Review request email, click Edit.
5. Toggle on the Collect reviews via SMS option.

Existing Yotpo SMS & Email customers

If you already have a Yotpo SMS & Email account and are new to Yotpo Reviews, follow the steps below.

1. In your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Emails > Email Setup.
2. Under Review request email, click Edit.
3. In the Collect reviews via SMS section, turn on the Collect reviews via SMS toggle.
