This guide is for Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals customers using a Shopify vintage theme. If you’re using an Online Store 2.0 theme, please refer to the Online Store 2.0 article.
If you’re not sure which theme version you’re using, refer to the instructions in Shopify.
Setting Up Loyalty & Referrals
To add Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals to your Shopify store, please follow these guidelines:
- Access your Shopify admin.
- Click on Apps.
- Click on Shop for apps.
- Search for Yotpo Loyalty & Rewards.
- Click on the app.
- On the App’s dedicated page, click on Add App.
- On the next page, scroll down and click on Install app.
Please note:
By default, the program will be deactivated. You can go to the General Settings section and click the Paused button at any time to activate it.
FAQ
If my customers have an account with my shop, will they also be registered in Loyalty & Referrals?
That depends on the settings configured as the Opt-in strategy. To learn more, click here
Enabling Customer Accounts
To allow customers to interact with the Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals program, you need to ensure that the customer accounts feature is enabled in Shopify.
To do so, please follow this article - and select either Accounts are optional option or Accounts are required option.
