        Yotpo’s integration with The Insiders enables brands to collect post-trial consumer ratings and reviews using the Insiders platform and then automatically syndicate these reviews to their Yotpo Store.

        Integration benefits

        Product trial is a key mechanism for review generation, driving awareness, and gathering customer feedback. By creating a seamless flow of review data from the point of collection (The Insiders) to publication (Yotpo), this integration saves time and effort, ensuring the review content gets to work on the important job of building confidence and driving sales.

        How it works

        This integration allows you to syndicate your campaign review responses from The Insiders to your Yotpo-powered on-site reviews widgets.

        The Insiders will send Yotpo sampling reviews (and photos) as they are collected, together with product information (identifiers). This will allow Yotpo to match the product that is being reviewed by The Insiders, with the same product on your eCommerce site, syndicate (internally), and display the reviews on your Yotpo widgets.

        Setting up the integration

        In order to connect Yotpo to your Insiders account, follow these steps:

        1. Log into Yotpo Reviews.
        2. In the top menu bar, click your store name, and then click Add New Store.
          If you do not see this option, reach out to your Yotpo CSM or contact Yotpo Support and ask them to add another store to your account. 
        3. Provide a store domain and skip the installation wizard. We recommend using your top level domain + “/the-insiders” for easy navigation in the future (it does not need to be a real URL, just structured as one).
        4. Ask your The Insiders representative to share the unique product identifiers that will be sent to Yotpo as part of the integration and make sure that one of these identifiers matches the same product identifier field (SKU, MPN, GTIN) in the Yotpo store that is connected to your eCommerce platform.
        5. Open a Yotpo Support case and ask the support agent to enable the following features to allow The Insiders to send sampling reviews to Yotpo:
          - “Trusted Vendor”
          - “Orders Metadata”
          - Yotpo Internal Syndication
        6. Once Yotpo Support confirms that the features in step 3 were enabled, go to the Syndication settings page in Yotpo and toggle on / check all options in both Yotpo stores (The Insiders and eCommerce).
          You can set up auto-moderation settings for these reviews in the The Insiders store in Yotpo. If you would like all reviews that are sent from The Insiders to be published on-site automatically, enable all reviews to be auto published and ask Yotpo support to remove all profanity words from the The Insiders Yotpo store.
        7. Send your Yotpo app key and secret key to your The Insiders rep, so they can set up the integration with Yotpo for you. Not sure how to find your credentials? See this article

        Once the integration is set up by The Insiders, your product catalog in The Insiders will be pushed into the dedicated Yotpo store together with your past and future reviews collected by samplers.

        FAQ and troubleshooting

        Reviews are not showing up in the dedicated Yotpo store for The Insiders. What should I do?

        Wait 4-5 hours to make sure the reviews are not still being processed. Then, check you provided The Insiders with the API key and secret key for the Yotpo store you specifically created for The Insiders. If the reviews still do not appear in Yotpo, reach out to your The Insiders representative.

        Reviews are showing up in the dedicated Yotpo store for The Insiders but not showing up on my eCommerce product pages. What should I do?

        Wait 24 hours to make sure the internal syndication process was completed. If the reviews are still not showing up on the relevant product page on-site, follow these steps:

        1. Make sure the reviews in the dedicated The Insiders store in Yotpo were set to be published and the syndication settings were all enabled. 
        2. Make sure the product that the reviews are being syndicated for has the same unique identifier in both Yotpo stores and that this is the unique identifier indicated to Yotpo support when asking to set up syndication. 
        3. If the reviews are still not showing up in the destination store, open a support case pointing to the review that exists in The Insiders store in Yotpo but not in the eCommerce store and ask for help troubleshooting the syndication issue in Yotpo.
        Will my The Insiders reviews be syndicated to Yotpo syndication partners (Google, Facebook, Walmart, Bazaarvoice, etc.)?

        The Insiders reviews are sent to the following Yotpo partners together with an indication that these reviews were incentivized: Google Shopping, Facebook / Instagram Shops, and Walmart. In order for reviews to be sent to retailers in the Bazaarvoice or PowerReviews network, you will need The Insiders to set up direct syndication to these vendors, as Yotpo does not pass reviews collected by The Insiders to these retail networks).
