        Google Rich Snippets

Rich Snippets — the few lines of text that appear under every search result — are designed to give users a sense of what’s on the page and why it’s relevant to their query.

        Available for:
Starter, Pro, Premium, and Enterprise plans

If Google understands the content on the pages, they can create rich snippets—detailed information intended to help users with specific queries.

Rich Snippets provide a small sample of a site’s content on SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages) of search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. They enhance your search listing, making it more enticing for users to click on and easier for search engines to extract information.

        Rich snippets help you to:

        • Attract potential buyers while they are searching for items to buy on Google
        • Submit your product listings for free

        Google Seller Ratings

Seller rating extensions make it easier for potential customers to identify highly-rated merchants when they're searching on Google by attaching your star rating to your AdWords ads Google Shopping results.

        Available for:
        Pro, Premium, and Enterprise plans

Only certain Google ads are eligible to appear with Seller Ratings annotations. You'll need to meet specific criteria for your ads to be eligible to show seller ratings on Google search results and Google search partners. See Google Seller Rating requirements

Google seller ratings will show on Google Ads and Google Shopping. These types of reviews are different from the Rich Snippet reviews that show on organic results - Seller Ratings reviews are for the company as a whole. Rich snippet reviews are more on the product level.

What is the difference between organic and paid search engine results?

A search engine returns two types of search results: organic and paid.

        • Organic search results are the Web page listings that most closely match the user’s search query based on relevance. Also called “natural” search results, ranking high in the organic results is what SEO is all about.
        • Paid results are basically advertisements — the Web site owners have paid to have their Web pages display for certain keywords, so these listings show up when someone runs a search query containing those keywords.

Reviews are not added to Google Shopping results in real-time, so you may notice a delay between receiving a new review and its addition to your rating in the Google Shopping results. The same is true when a review is removed from a seller rating website. If you notice your reviews have stopped appearing, please make sure that the store name and registered domain match in your Google Merchant Center account and third-party seller rating websites.

        In-Line SEO

        Available for:
        • All plans
        • Non-hosted eCommerce platforms

As Google now crawls JavaScript, no in-line SEO implementation is necessary for businesses that only care about being found on Google.

However, smaller and less robust search engines such as Bing and Yahoo currently lack the capacity to crawl JavaScript content. If you would like your product reviews to be crawled by Bing and Yahoo as well, it is necessary to pull the static HTML payload of your product reviews using the API: 'Retrieve the Reviews Payload in HTML'  and then embedding the HTML payload into the relevant widgets.

        Google Shopping Syndication

        Available for:
        Pro, Premium, and Enterprise plans

Google Shopping ads drive traffic and sales to your website or local store by showing online shoppers rich images and details of items you sell.

Google Shopping ads appear in their own box on Google search results above or to the right of organic search results and on Google Product Listing.

        • Google Shopping ads can appear on Google Product Listing and Google Search in these countries: the US, the UK, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
        • Google Shopping ads only appear on Google Search in these countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, India, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Turkey.

Google Shopping ads with Product Ratings pull info from your product reviews and show up in ads that include an image of your product. Learn more about Google Shopping Syndication.
