        By showcasing these products prominently, you can capture the attention of potential buyers and increase sales and revenue as customers are more likely to be drawn to these featured products.

        In this article, you'll learn how to add the Promoted Products section to your store.

        How it works

        You can choose whether to display the products above the Reviews Widget on your product page or embed Promoted Products as its own widget anywhere on your site.

        By default, the widget will show 3 products, but you can choose to promote anywhere between 1 and 9 products. The mobile view will only show 1 product at a time. Additionally, products aren't promoted on their own product page to avoid duplication

        The widget uses Yotpo’s smart AI algorithm when choosing which products to display - products are recommended based on your store’s order history data and tracked on-site shopper behavior.

        The selected products are the ones with the highest chance of converting shoppers into purchasing customers.

        Before you start

        If you have the old Promoted Products widget turned on, make sure to turn it off:

        1. In your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to On-Site Widgets > Promoted Products.
        2. Turn the toggle off.
        3. Click Save Changes.

        Make sure the products you want to promote fulfill the following:

        • They are not on your blocklist
        • They are currently in stock

        Limitations

        • The number of products displayed is determined by the width of the page where the widget is displayed
        • The price of each product will always be shown in USD. For example, if a product costs 12 GBP, it will display on-site as $12.

        Setting up Promoted Products

        Access the Promoted Products widget editor in Yotpo Reviews by going to On-Site Widgets > Promoted Products 3.0.

        The editor includes two sections:

        • General settings - Edit the text, font, and colors of your widget. You can also choose if you’d like the widget to appear as part of the Reviews Widget or as a separate widget.
        • Promoted Products - Choose the number of products to promote and whether you’d like to show their price.

        Adding the widget to your store

        When adding the widget to your site, you can choose one of the following placement options:

        • Above Reviews Widget: If you choose the Promoted Product widget placement to be above the Reviews Widget, you can just click Save changes.
        • Separate widget: If you’d like to add it as a separate widget, follow the instructions relevant to the eCommerce platform you’re using:
        Shopify

        Once you have finished customizing your widget and would like to add it to your store:

        1. Click Publish at the top right corner
        2. Click Open Shopify to open your Shopify theme editor.
        3. Add a block or section.
        4. Select and add the Promoted Products Widget.
        5. Click Save.
        Other eCommerce platforms

        To add the widget to your store:

        1. Click Publish in the top right corner.
        2. Copy the code and paste it where you want it to appear on your store.

        If you wish to remove the Promoted Products widget from your site, erase the pasted code from the relevant store files.
