    Goals and Outcomes

The Campaign Analytics dashboard offers a detailed view of how your SMS and email campaigns are performing. It provides audience engagement insights and revenue tracking allowing you to navigate and optimize your campaign strategies effectively.

In this article, you’ll learn how to read and use the dashboard to make informed data-driven decisions.

    Campaign Analytics Dashboard Overview

    Accessing the Dashboard

To access the Campaign Analytics dashboard, from the Yotpo SMS & Email main menu go to Analytics > Campaign Analytics. The dashboard comprises two sections: Business performance and Performance by channel. You can look at performance data for specific timeframes and compare it to past periods.

    Note:

In Yotpo dashboards, data is attributed either to the campaign/flow send time or to the event time. In this dashboard, data is attributed to the send time and refreshes every 3 hours.

For example, in the screenshot below, an email campaign sent on March 9, 2024 generated $9,341 in revenue. The revenue is attributed to the day the campaign was sent, even if the actual orders were places at a later date. This means that all revenue from orders linked to the campaign will be aggregated based on the campaign’s send date, not the date of the individual orders.

    Filters

The dashboard includes two types of filters:

    • Date: Choose the timeframe or the exact dates you want to view. The data within the selected range will be aggregated based on when the campaigns were sent, not when the orders were placed. By default, the data for these dates will be compared to the previous timeframe of the same length. For example:

      • Selecting Last 7 days (let’s say, July 1 to July 7, 2024) will display a comparison between the data for that period and the data for the previous 7 days (June 24 to June 30, 2024)

      • Choosing a specific day, such as August 25, 2024, will show a comparison between that day and the previous day, August 24, 2024

The rate of change between the periods is measured in percentage points and is displayed next to each metric.

    • Campaign type: You can filter the data according to the following campaign types:

      • All campaigns

      • Multi-message campaigns: These campaigns can send multiple messages across both SMS and email channels

      • Single message campaigns: These campaigns send only one message via either SMS or email

    Business Performance

This section summarizes your campaigns’ performance by metric and includes a chart displaying performance over time. You can see the available metrics in the table below.

    Metric

    Description

    Revenue

The total amount in USD generated from orders that are attributed to the campaigns sent in the selected timeframe.

    Spend

The total amount in USD spent on sending campaigns in the selected timeframe.

    ROI

Return on investment multiplier calculated as (Revenue − Spend) / Spend.

For example, if the revenue is $100 and the spend is $25, the ROI will be 3X. This means you earned 3 times more than you spent.

    Orders

The total number of orders in the selected timeframe.

If you use both SMS and email channels, the cards offer a breakdown of the data by channel.

    Performance over Time

Click a tab to choose a metric and filter the data by channel and view. Depending on the timeframe selected in the filter at the top of the page, you can view the data segmented by month, week, or day.

    Note:

If you use only one channel, the Channel filter will not be displayed.

    Performance by Channel

This section includes a performance overview by channel and a chart presenting performance trends over time. The channel tabs will only display if you use both SMS and email channels.

The data in the cards is broken down into the following metrics:

    Metric

    Description

    Sent messages

The total number of messages sent in the selected timeframe.

    Open rate (for Email only)

The percentage of unique opens out of all delivered emails.

Formula: (Unique opens / Total delivered messages) *100.

    Click rate

The percentage of unique clicks out of all delivered text messages or emails.

Formula: (Unique clicks / Total delivered messages) *100.

    Conversion rate

The percentage of orders out of all delivered text messages or emails.

Formula: (Total orders / Total delivered messages) *100.

    Average order value

The average order value for the campaigns sent within the selected time frame.

Formula: Revenue / Total number of orders.

    Unsubscribe rate

The percentage of recipients who unsubscribed out of all delivered text messages or emails.

Formula: (Total unsubscribers / Total delivered messages) *100.

    Note:

A unique open/click is registered the first time a customer opens a message or clicks a link. If the customer opens the message again or clicks the link multiple times, these additional opens/clicks will not be counted.

To filter the data in the chart, select an option from the View by filter.
