    Social Opt-in Overview

    Social opt-ins provide an effective way to expand your SMS subscriber base by leveraging platforms your customers already trust and use. This feature simplifies the sign-up process, allowing customers to opt in with a single click through their social media accounts.

    By streamlining the subscriber collection process, social opt-ins reduce barriers and make it easier for customers to join your list. This familiar and seamless experience encourages more sign-ups and helps you integrate these new subscribers into your existing SMS and email marketing strategies. With social opt-ins, you can connect with your audience more effectively, grow your subscriber base, and create a smoother, more enjoyable experience for your customers.

    Getting Started

    To find the Social Opt-in, open your Yotpo SMS & Email admin and navigate to Audience > Subscriber Collection Tools.

    Then follow the steps in the section below.

    Creating Your Social Opt-in

    1. Locate the Social Opt-in card and click Set it up. If you don’t see the card immediately, use the arrow buttons to scroll through the options. Once you click it, the editor window will open, allowing you to customize your Social Opt-in.

    2. Click Set up Social Opt-in to begin the process.

    3. Enter a keyword that subscribers will use. Choose the list where you want to add your subscribers and click Set up opt-in message.

    4. Create your Opt-in Request Message. The system automatically includes the Social Opt-in Keyword personalization tag in your message for convenience.

    5. Click Set up message to save your request message.

    6. Craft your Reply Message to welcome new subscribers warmly.

    7. When everything looks good, click Activate Social Opt-in to save and launch your new tool.

    8. Share your social opt-in link on your social media platforms, and make sure to include the compliance message. You can easily copy the message directly from the popup.

    Important

    Your keyword must be 20 characters or fewer and cannot include special characters or spaces. Additionally, each keyword must be unique.

    Viewing Your Social Opt-in Analytics


    You can easily monitor the performance of your Social Opt-in by navigating to the Subscriber Collection Tools dashboard and clicking Tool analytics. In the Analytics section, you’ll find insights into key metrics, including clicks, sent messages, subscriber growth, and conversion rates.
