Introduction to SMS and Email Flows

Flows are something that will fully transform the way you use Yotpo SMS & Email.
The main purpose of flows is to create a sequence of automated actions based upon different triggers, covering the entire sales funnel. It will optimize the process of setting up automated text messages and will make your marketing campaigns much more tailored and effective.
You can use Yotpo SMS & Email to create a new flow from scratch, or simply activate some of our predefined flow templates.
Accessing flows
In your Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, go to Flows > My Flows.
Here, you'll see a couple of recommended flows along with a list of the flows that you've created. If you have activated any predefined flow, it will appear here as well.
Creating a new flow
In your Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, go to Flows > My Flows. Click Create flow from scratch in the top right corner.
Activating a predefined flow
You can easily activate one of our pre-set flows from our templates with just a couple of clicks. To find a flow you're looking for, simply filter between SMS, email, and all, or you just use the search bar to find the flow you're looking for. Click on it and follow the steps. Once activated, it will appear in the My Flows table where you can view some of its most important metrics, edit, deactivate, or delete it.
Creating Flows According to the Shopper Journey
The Shopper Journey is a visual representation of the journey your shopper goes through with your brand. You will see different key communication points and communication options for those important stages in the shopper journey.
These are shopper communication guidelines that you can view and use at any point to make sure you aren’t missing any important opportunities to reach out and engage with your shoppers.
Viewing the Shopper Journey
In your Yotpo SMS & Email main menu, go to Flows > My Flows. You will see 4 main categories:
- Acquisition: Turn the shopper into a customer
- Purchase: Motivate the customer to make a purchase
- Retention: Encourage the customer to come back to your store and make additional purchases
- Advocacy: Turn loyal customers into brand advocates
Within each category, you’ll see a timeline showing all the relevant flows you already set up, and recommendations to help optimize your customers’ experience.
Above each available flow trigger that is already set up, you’ll see the revenue generated within the last 30 days from all the active flows that use this specific trigger.
You also have the option to create any flows that aren’t set up yet directly from the timeline and choose the relevant customer communication channel - SMS, email, or both.
