This dashboard will help give you an idea of the status of points in your program. Quickly and easily see how many total points have been earned and redeemed, how many points have been voided, and how many usable points are outstanding in customer accounts today. In this article, we will look at how to access the dashboard, and what each metric means.

    Viewing the dashboard

You can find the dashboard in your Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals main menu, under Analytics > Points Overview.

    Please note:
Data refreshes once a day at approximately 2:00 a.m. EST.

To generate graph data, set a date range and time frame, and click the Reload icon. The graph filters include:

    • Date Range: The date range(s) of the dataset you wish to generate
    • Graph Time Frame: This filter only affects the graph and will change the scale to either a daily, weekly, or monthly view. To change the viewed breakdown, change the filter as follows:
      • is 1 = by day
      • is 2 = by week
      • is 3 = by month

    Total points earned

This is the total sum of points earned by customers in a specific time period. This will include imports and positive manual point adjustments made. This number excludes points earned as part of an order that was later refunded (because if an order is refunded in this case, the points are removed.)

    Total points redeemed

The total sum of points redeemed by customers for rewards. These include all types of redemptions that resulted in the deduction of points (these could include fixed-amount, percentage, variable and free product).

Total Points Redeemed excludes points redeemed at checkout for an order that was later refunded (because if an order is refunded in this case, the points are removed.)

    Total void points

This metric refers to points that have been voided for any reason other than redemption. This could be due to the following reasons:

    Total outstanding points

This metric refers to points that are currently active and valid for redemption for all customers. This is 'Total Points Earned' minus 'Redeemed points' & 'Void Points' for all time.

    Actions & Redemptions

To complete the picture, you can see how many actions have resulted in earning points and how many redemptions took place.

    Total actions

This is the number of actions that resulted in earning points.

    What defines an action

An action is any activity a customer performs within your Rewards Program, Referral Program, or Newsletter Signup tool that results in earned points (including purchases.)

This number does not count unique customer actions, for example, if a customer earned points for following your store on Twitter, referring a friend, and signing up for your newsletter, it would count as 3 "actions".

This number excludes points earned as part of an order that was later refunded (because if an order is refunded, the points are removed.)

    Total redemptions

This is the number of redemptions that took place. These are not unique customer redemptions, if a customer made 2 redemptions, both will count towards this metric.

This number excludes points redeemed on checkout for an order that was later refunded (as the points were reimbursed to the customer in this case).
