Resending an Automatic Review Request Email allows you to send your customers an additional review request in order to replace an old or inaccurate review with a new one.

Note

Template Editor users should preview their Automatic Review Request Email template before using this feature. It's called resend_map.liquid.

When to Resend an Automatic Review Request

Sending customers an additional review request email can be handy in the following scenarios:

  • You'd like a customer to send a follow-up review. For example, if a customer left a review stating that the product had not arrived, you can ask the customer to review the product once it has arrived.

  • Your reviewer submitted a stellar review about your product that you'd love to share on your site or social media pages, however, it contains spelling errors, typos, or is poorly written.

  • Your customer submitted a poor review, you've taken action to resolve the issue, and you'd like the customer to submit a new review that reflects your effort.

SEO Value of Resending an Automatic Review Request

Yotpo reviews are crawled and indexed by search engines.

As such, SEO best practices are important to maximize the SEO potential of your content.

Resending an Automatic Review Request overrides prior reviews to make sure that only the most recent reviews are crawled by Google and that only the most recent reviews are sent to the Google feed. Improving the review content by resending an Automatic Review Request may positively impact your Rich Snippets and Product Listing Ads.

Important

  • Each Automatic Review Request can be resent only once.

  • Resending an Automatic Review Request is only possible for product reviews.

Resending an Automatic Review Request

  1. From the Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Manage > Reviews.

  2. Search for the review you'd like to resend the Automatic Review Request email to.

  3. Click the three-dot menu on the review.

  4. Click More.

  5. Click Re-send review request.

  6. Enter the email subject and body message.

  7. To personalize the email, click Personalization tags and select one of the following:

    • Customer name

    • Product name

    • Store name

  8. Click Send.
