Integration Overview
Bloomingdale's review syndication automatically sends eligible reviews for matched products from Yotpo to Bloomingdale's.
To be syndicated, reviews must meet Bloomingdale's eligibility requirements and the related products must be matched to Bloomingdale's catalog using valid UPCs.
How It Works
The syndication flow works as follows:
A customer submits a product review for one of your products.
The product is matched to Bloomingdale's catalog using its UPC or EAN.
The review is moderated by Yotpo according to retailer content guidelines.
Eligible reviews for matched products are sent to Bloomingdale's.
Bloomingdale's publishes the reviews on the relevant product pages.
Note
Review visibility on Bloomingdale's depends on both successful product matching and Bloomingdale's internal processing, so it may take up to 72 hours for reviews to appear after they are syndicated.

Eligibility
For a review to appear on Bloomingdale's, both the review and the associated product must meet Bloomingdale's eligibility requirements.
Reviews that do not meet these requirements will not be syndicated.
Retailer Guidelines Moderation
All reviews shared with Bloomingdale's are moderated by Yotpo according to retailer content guidelines.
This means reviews are checked against the content rules required for retailer syndication before they are sent to Bloomingdale's.
For example, reviews may be rejected from syndication if they include:
profanity or offensive language.
spam or promotional content.
shipping or customer service complaints instead of product feedback.
unrelated product comments.
Reviews that pass this moderation may still be syndicated to Bloomingdale's even if they are not published on your own site.
This is because retailer syndication follows retailer and partner requirements, which may differ from your store moderation settings.

Existing Reviews
To be syndicated to Bloomingdale's, a review must not be deleted.
If a review is deleted in Yotpo even after it has been syndicated, it will no longer be eligible for syndication and will be removed from Bloomingdale's during the next sync cycle.

Valid User Association
To be syndicated to Bloomingdale's, a review must be associated with a valid user profile.
This means the review must be connected to a real shopper record and contain the required customer information used for syndication processing.
For example, reviews may not be eligible if:
the review was imported without valid customer information (missing name or email).
the customer record is incomplete or corrupted (required fields are empty or unreadable).
the review is associated with a deleted or invalid user profile (the shopper profile was removed from Yotpo).
the review was created through unsupported or malformed data imports (an import file with incorrectly mapped customer fields).
To help ensure reviews remain eligible for syndication:
make sure imported reviews include valid customer data.
avoid deleting customer records associated with syndicated reviews.
verify that integrations and imports are correctly mapped.
Reviews without a valid user association will not be syndicated to Bloomingdale's.

Verified Buyer or Incentivized Reviews
To be syndicated to Bloomingdale's, a review must be either a verified buyer review or an incentivized review.
A verified buyer review is a review associated with a confirmed purchase.
An incentivized review is a review submitted in exchange for an incentive, such as a discount, loyalty points, free samples, or promotional offers.
Reviews that are neither verified nor incentivized are not eligible for syndication to Bloomingdale's.
For example, the following reviews would not be eligible:
reviews submitted without a verified purchase connection.
manually added reviews without verified or incentivized status.
imported reviews missing verified buyer information (name, email, etc…).
reviews from unidentified shoppers (reviews submitted without customer identity or purchase information).
To help ensure eligibility:
make sure order data is syncing correctly to Yotpo so reviews can be associated with real purchases and marked as verified buyer reviews.
verify that imported reviews include verified buyer information when applicable (customer email, order ID, or verified buyer status included in the import file).
correctly label incentivized reviews according to your review collection setup so they can be identified and processed properly during syndication.
Reviews that meet these requirements are more likely to satisfy Bloomingdale's authenticity and transparency requirements.

Product Match Requirement
Reviews are only syndicated when the associated product is successfully matched to Bloomingdale's catalog using a valid GTIN, such as UPC or EAN. The identifier in your Yotpo catalog must match the identifier used for the product in Bloomingdale's catalog. If the product does not have a valid GTIN, or if the identifier does not match a product in Bloomingdale's catalog, its reviews will not be syndicated - even if the review itself is eligible.
Important
Make sure the product identifiers in your catalog are complete, accurate, and up to date.
Product Brand
In addition to UPCs, Yotpo also sends product brand information to Bloomingdale's. While brand is not currently required for matching, it may be used to monitor alignment between your catalog and Bloomingdale's catalog.
Make sure the brand field in your product catalog is up to date and, when possible, matches the brand name used in Bloomingdale's or other retailer catalogs.
Product Families
Bloomingdale's uses Page IDs to represent product pages and related product groupings in its catalog.
A single Yotpo product can be associated with more than one Bloomingdale's Page ID when the product’s identifiers match multiple Bloomingdale's catalog entries. When this happens, the same eligible review may be sent to more than one Bloomingdale's product page.
For example, if a product has multiple variants with valid GTINs, and those GTINs match multiple Bloomingdale's catalog entries, reviews for the Yotpo product may be included for each matched Bloomingdale's Page ID.

This behavior depends on how Bloomingdale's structures its catalog and how the product identifiers match Bloomingdale's catalog entries.

Product family behavior is based on Bloomingdale's catalog structure and product identifiers. If products are not connected through matching Bloomingdale's catalog entries, their reviews will not be shared between them.
This means that one product in Yotpo may be associated with multiple Bloomingdale's Page IDs, depending on how Bloomingdale's structures the product family.

Set Up
To start using Bloomingdale's syndication:
Contact your Yotpo Customer Success Manager to enable Bloomingdale's syndication.
Verify that all relevant products in your catalog have a valid UPC. Read more about the product catalog [here].
Once Bloomingdale's syndication is enabled, syndication begins automatically.
To add or verify UPCs in your catalog:
Shopify - Add the UPC in the Barcode field.
Adobe Commerce - Add the UPC in the product specifications.
Custom or API-based catalogs - Add the UPC through your product catalog setup.
Once Bloomingdale's syndication is enabled and your catalog is ready, the onboarding team will complete the setup needed to start syndication.
Tip
The initial synchronization depends on successful catalog matching and Bloomingdale's processing time.
Monitoring Your Reviews
You can monitor your Bloomingdale's syndication performance from the Retail Syndication dashboard.
To access the dashboard:
From your Yotpo admin, click on Reviews.
Then click on Google & Syndication.
Go to Retail Syndication.

The dashboard includes the following metrics:
Product matches.
Product matches not found.
Reviews collected.
Reviews syndicated.
Updates
Dashboard data is refreshed regularly, but there may be a delay between when reviews are sent and when they appear live on Bloomingdale's.
Product Status
You can check the syndication status of your products by downloading the Syndication Report.
The report includes product-level details such as:
Product status.
Collected reviews.
Syndicated reviews.
Product identifiers.
Last updated date.
Note
A product may appear in multiple rows in the report if it has multiple identifiers or multiple matched entries.
Troubleshooting
If reviews are not appearing on Bloomingdale's, check the following:
The product has a valid UPC.
The product exists in Bloomingdale's catalog.
The product was matched successfully.
The review has passed retail moderation.
The review is not deleted.
The review has a valid user.
The review is either verified or incentivized.
If the product is not matched, review the UPC and product data in your catalog and update it as needed.

How often are reviews sent to Bloomingdale's?

Can I choose which reviews are sent?
No, by default, all product reviews that meet retail moderation guidelines will be sent, including those that are submitted but not yet published on your site. Any reviews that do not meet these guidelines, such as those mentioning shipping, service, or containing profanity, will be removed by our moderation team.
Why are some reviews missing?
A review may not appear on Bloomingdale's if the product is missing a valid UPC, the product could not be matched to Bloomingdale's catalog, the review has not passed retailer moderation, the review was deleted, the review does not have a valid user, or the review is neither verified nor incentivized.
Why do my Bloomingdale's and store review counts differ?
Review counts may differ between your store and Bloomingdale's due to catalog matching and eligibility requirements.
Check the following:
Make sure your product catalog is up to date and all relevant products have a valid UPC. Products without a UPC or without a successful match in Bloomingdale's catalog will not have their reviews syndicated.
Only reviews that meet Bloomingdale's eligibility requirements are syndicated. This includes reviews that passed retail moderation, have a valid user, and are either verified buyer or incentivized reviews.
Differences may also occur due to processing time on Bloomingdale's side.
Can I see which individual reviews were syndicated?
No. The dashboard shows aggregated data only and does not display individual syndicated reviews.
What should I do if a product is missing?
Download the Syndication Report and search for the product by name or UPC. If the product is not matched, verify the UPC and update your product catalog if needed. If the product is matched but reviews are still missing, contact Yotpo support.
