Dotdigital - Integration Guide for Yotpo Reviews

The integration between Yotpo Reviews and Dotdigital enables you to sync your reviews to Dotdigital, allowing you to segment contacts for campaigns and trigger automated post-review journeys.

• Exclude contacts that left bad reviews from certain sends
• Target contacts that left a certain number of reviews

How it works

• Historical sync - when first set up, the integration pulls all reviews for existing contacts in Dotdigital. The integration does not create new contacts in Dotdigital. If a customer leaves a review but they do not already exist as a contact in your Dotdigital account, no data sync or program enrolment takes place.
• Incoming reviews - these are synced into Dotdigital to update existing contacts and trigger programs shortly after the review is submitted. Only existing contacts will be enriched. However, as most Yotpo reviews are collected post-purchase, and these purchases usually create a contact in DotDigital, most if not all contacts should be enriched.

Before you start

For this integration, you’ll need your Yotpo app key. Learn how to find your Yotpo app key.

Setting up the integration

Follow the steps below to set up the integration between Yotpo and Dotdigital.

Step 1: Connect your Yotpo account

1. In Dotdigital, go to the Integration Hub.
2. Select the Self-Serve tab, and then the Yotpo tile.
3. Select Setup and then + Connect your Yotpo.

Step 2: Set up the integration

1. Enter your Yotpo app key into the field in the pop-up window to approve Dotdigital's access to your Yotpo Account.
2. Select Link connection.
3. Read the permissions information, then select Authorize.
4. On the confirmation message, select Ok.
5. Select Next.
6. Read the summary, then select Next.
7. Expand the Programsdropdown menu and choose a program to enroll new reviewers onto.
   Please note:

   If you don't yet have a program built and activated, you can select Next without selecting a program. You can return to this page any time to map a program by going to Integration Hub > Active, then selecting the Yotpo tile. Your review data will still be mapped, even without selecting a program, as long as the rest of the setup process is complete.
8. Select Next to complete the setup process and start the initial data sync.
