Adding the Reviews Summary

The Reviews Summary makes it easier for shoppers to quickly find the information they need by highlighting the main topics that appear across existing reviews in the Reviews Widget.

This helps shoppers make informed purchasing decisions without wasting too much time going over all available reviews.

How it works

The Reviews Summary provides shoppers with a more efficient way of digesting relevant product information on your store. It utilizes Yotpo’s AI language analysis capabilities to concisely summarize key feedback points from existing customer reviews.

For the Reviews Summary to appear, a product must have:

• At least 20 reviews and
• At least 3 topics, with 5 reviews for each topic

Additional enhancement for Premium and Enterprise plans:

Shoppers can double-click on a topic in the Reviews Summary to immediately view all relevant reviews filtered by that topic.

The topic filtering may vary according to the clicked topic:

• If the topic already exists as an available topic filter in your Reviews Widget, double-clicking it will automatically apply the filter to the reviews.
• If the topic doesn't exist as an available filter in the Reviews Widget, double- clicking it will act as a free-text search that shows all relevant reviews that include that specific term.

Before you start

Before you add the Reviews Summary, the Reviews Widget 3.0 must already be installed on your site. To learn more about 3.0 widgets, go to Widgets 3.0 Overview.

Adding the Reviews Summary to your store

The Reviews Summary can be added to the Reviews Widget, Star Rating, or both.

To add the Reviews Summary to your store:

1. In your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to On-site Widgets and choose the relevant widget.
2. Go to the Reviews Summary section in the widget editor and toggle on the feature to seamlessly add it to both the Star Rating and Reviews Widget.

The Reviews Summary will automatically adopt your brand's visual style, in line with the appearance of the Reviews Widget.

Once you toggle on the feature, you’ll be able to adjust the button name and style.

Additionally, you can set a threshold for the reviews that appear in the Reviews Summary - a review will only be displayed if it passes the minimum set star rating.
