Yotpo Loyalty & Rewards is a plug-and-play Shopify app, which means you can add Yotpo to your Shopify store with just a few clicks.
This guide is for Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals customers using Shopify Online Store 2.0. If you’re using a vintage Shopify theme, please refer to our Shopify vintage guide. If you’re not sure which theme version you’re using, refer to the instructions in Shopify.
Installing the app in Shopify
To get started, add the Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals app to your Shopify account:
- Go to the Shopify App Store. and choose Yotpo Loyalty & Rewards.
- Click Add App.
Setting up your account
Once you’ve installed the app, we’ll guide you through some onboarding steps to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Make sure you enable on-site elements. This includes the Yotpo modules loader for the Loyalty modules and the SDK loader in case you use the Rewards Popup. You can enable them within the onboarding process or by clicking the banner in the Loyalty admin.
Enabling customer accounts
To allow customers to interact with the Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals program, the customer accounts feature must be enabled in Shopify.
To verify this, please follow this Shopify article, and select either the Accounts are optional option or the Accounts are required option.
FAQ
If my customers have an account with my shop, will they also be registered in Loyalty & Referrals?
That depends on the settings configured as the Opt-in strategy. Learn more in the Loyalty Opt-in article
