Coupons are the rewards you offer customers through your loyalty program. Depending on how they're configured, customers can either redeem them using loyalty points or receive them automatically after completing an earning rule.
There are two types of coupons:
Redeemable coupons: Customers exchange loyalty points for these rewards. They appear as redemption options on your store's Rewards page.
Direct coupons: Customers receive these rewards automatically after completing an earning rule or another qualifying action.
Understanding the difference

Creating Direct Coupons
Direct coupons are used as rewards for earning rules. Instead of awarding loyalty points, an earning rule can issue a coupon immediately after a customer completes the qualifying action.
To create a direct coupon:
In your Yotpo Loyalty admin, go to Manage Program > Rewards.
Click Create New Coupon.
From the I want to use this coupon to reward customers dropdown, select Immediately after they complete an earning rule (i.e., instead of points).
Select the reward type you want to offer and configure its settings.
Click Save.
Once created, the coupon becomes available when configuring an earning rule.
To assign a direct coupon to an earning rule:
Go to Manage Program > Earning Rules.
Create a new earning rule or edit an existing one.
In the reward selection dropdown, choose the direct coupon you created.
Click Save.
Note
If you're creating your first earning rule, the reward dropdown may only display the default $0.00 option. Create a direct coupon first, then return to the earning rule to select it.
Creating Redeemable Coupons
Redeemable coupons are the rewards customers can exchange for loyalty points. These rewards appear on your store's Rewards page.
To create a redeemable coupon:
In your Yotpo Loyalty admin, go to Manage Program > Rewards.
Click Create New Coupon.
From the I want to use this coupon to reward customers dropdown, select When they redeem their points.
Select the reward type you want to offer and configure its settings.
Click Save.
Once saved, you can add the coupon as a redemption option on your Rewards page, allowing customers to redeem it using their loyalty points.
