Save time by automatically publishing all or some of your reviews without any action on your part.

In this article, you'll learn how to automatically publish your reviews.

    How it works

When auto-publish is enabled, reviews submitted by your shoppers are automatically published to the Reviews Widget on your site. You can choose to publish all reviews right away (recommended) or publish only reviews with a minimum star rating.

If you choose to raise the minimum star rating above 1, you’ll be responsible for publishing all valid reviews that fall below this star rating within a 14-day window. After 14 days, these reviews will be automatically published on your site. See FAQ for more details.

We’ll also send you a weekly email to let you know if you have reviews that are scheduled to auto-publish in your account.

    Getting started

To access your auto-publish settings in your Yotpo Reviews main menu, go to Settings > Publishing Settings

    Enabling and disabling auto-publish

Auto-publish is enabled by default. If you want to turn it off, just uncheck the Auto-publish reviews box. Disabling the feature means that reviews will no longer be automatically published. Instead, you'll be emailed each time you receive a new review, and will be able to manually publish them.

We recommend you publish all of your reviews right away, regardless of their star rating. However, if you prefer, you can choose to set a minimum star rating for your reviews to be auto-published.

    Blocking profane language

To prevent reviews containing vulgar language from displaying on your site, we’ll never auto-publish reviews that contain words we recognize as profanities.

    • If you want to add words to our existing list of profanities, just type them into the box and click Submit.
    • If you want to receive an email notification each time a review containing profane language is submitted, just select the checkbox.
    Tip:
You can remove words from the list of profanities, for example, if you added a word by mistake or want to allow a word that was already on the list. Under Unblock keywords, just type the word you want to unblock into the box and click Submit. From that moment on, any reviews that are submitted containing that keyboard will be eligible for auto-publish.

    Blocking negative sentiment

To prevent reviews containing negative sentiment from displaying on your site, you can turn on the sentiment filter. Our smart sentiment algorithm analyzes your reviews and automatically identifies positive and negative reviewer sentiments. To turn on the sentiment filter, just toggle it off.

    • Once selected, reviews containing negative sentiment will not be immediately auto-published. They will still be auto-published after 14 days unless you publish or reject them first.
    • If you want to receive an email notification each time a review with negative sentiment is submitted, just select the checkbox underneath.

Don’t forget to save your changes!
