The Reviews Widget allows you to showcase your reviews on product pages in a fully customizable format. Each review will appear with a title, review content, and its associated star rating. Design the widget to match the look and feel of your store and customize the default sorting of your reviews to prioritize the order of the reviews shown in the widget.

In this article, you'll learn how to add the Reviews Widget to your store.

How it works

The Reviews Widget appears at the bottom of each product page on your site, displaying reviews relevant to that product.

Customers can also submit reviews directly through the widget on your product pages.

When a customer leaves a review this way, they’ll receive an email asking them to verify it.

  • Until the email is confirmed, the review will appear as anonymous (without the Verified Reviewer badge).

  • Once the reviewer confirms their email address, the Verified Reviewer badge will be automatically added to their review.

All reviews - verified or not - will appear in your Reviews Moderation panel within approximately 30 minutes.

To learn more about the Verified Reviewer badge, see Verified Reviewer Badge.

Specific Yotpo Reviews plans also let you add filters to the widget so visitors can find the reviews most relevant to them.

Updating your widget version

From time to time, Yotpo updates its code and releases the update as a New Widget Version. Updated versions include new features, improve widget performance, resolve bugs, etc. Most of these updates don't require any action on your part, however, some larger updates may require you to manually update your widget version.

Updating the widget version is only the first step in the troubleshooting process of certain issues. To learn how to update your widget version, see Updating Your Widget Version
